I won Best New Female Talent!

I'd like to thank everyone here who voted for me. I have won the Friends of Lulu Kim Yale Award for Best New Female Talent (in comics).
I think it's a sign of the times when a digital comic can compete with print ones. My fellow nominees Rivkah, June Kim, and Joelle Jones all have publishing contracts. Bully for them! That's an award in and of itself, I kid you not. Getting printed and staying in print is tough work, and I commend them all on their performance and dedication.

Jennifer De Guzman of Slave Labor Graphics took away the Women of Distinction award (hell yes!). MK Reed and the adorable Robin Enrico were made Volunteers of the Year, no doubt for all the hard work they did on the latest Lulu anthology, The Girls’ Guide to Guys’ Stuff (which I have a comic in!). And Abby Denson was voted Lulu of the Year! I am so happy to see these people win awards. I love De Guzman, know Robin and have met Abby, and they are all most worthy of that which they have received. Congratulations all around!

Now, I'm going to get all dolled up and celebrate downtown tonight! THANK YOU!
