That's right, this in NOT the cover for Superman/Batman #55. Why? Because in all my bravado, I told them at DC that I'd have the cover done by a certain Tuesday for solicitations, but the actual cover took longer than I thought it would so they put up this nifty little number for the December roll call. The cover got to NYC by that Wednesday, unfortunately I missed the final cuts.

This is actually the first page of issue #53. Big John Dell is my partner on this diddy, and I couldn't be happier. The last time John and I teamed up, it was for the Hawkman/JSA crossover "Black Reign".

Really awesome image, with each hero in the city of their counterpart. This is wonderful line art and I do appreciate how long it takes to create an image at this level.

How many hours did you spend on this?
