It's fun to get into a character's head. While it may be awkward the way Bruce Wayne looks as Banshee smacks him, I tried to keep in mind the amount of acting a hero probably has to go through to keep appearances and not give away who he is to the general public and the villians.

The Superman pose was me trying to do the classic iconic image of him. Something that speaks of him, and the kind of pose you might do in 1938 as well as today.

I had a little less freedom in the ensuing scene with Batman because he just didn't appear, he was being set on a glass case and using his batline to retrieve the brooch that Banshee has here. But still, when I introduced the main characters in this book I tried to do it as iconic for each as I could, with respect to the scene.
