Biography
I have been a fan of comics for as long as I can remember. I was a big fan of Ninja High School and other Animerica-Manga comics from the late 80's to 90's. In High School I did a number of art projects.

I graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York. I have a BFA in Animation. I was taught the traditional way of making animation. We were taught how to write a story, create a storyboard, draw an animatic, and then the final animation. Animation is an extremely time consuming process. My style is very simple (i.e. Peanuts), but I make it up with colors and a good story. Isn't that what is most important, the story?

I come from a long line of artists. My uncle Hyunn Kim, created the 1988 Olympic Mascot, Hodori. My grandmother was also an accomplished artist. She created traditional Korean art, such as vases made out of paper.

Design Work
I have worked for a number of freelance projects. I created several logos for two IEEE conferences.

I am open to do freelance work. Please send me a note with all the details.

Volunteer
I volunteer for a number of Anime and Sci-fi related conventions. I have volunteered for Otakon since 2001. I am currently working as a BBS Moderator.

Heros
My biggest inspiration are reading comics. I really admire the great artists: Rumiko Takahashi, Hayao Miyazaki, Masumune Shiro, Charles Shultz, Ben Dunn, Robert DeJesus, Frank Cho, Hawk, Piro, Scott Kurtz, Gabe and Tyco, and many more.

Yeah Otakon has been fun. Now I'm having fun at Comiket. There are lots of Cosplayers. There is even a separate building where you can do cosplaying.

Very cool! I'd love to go to Comiket some day (or even just visit Japan). My best friend lives in Kawasaki...she just moved out of Tokyo so she could get a bigger apartment.

yeah Tokyo is very expensive. You need to live outside to find a decent place to sleep. Do you do any Anime Characters (i.e. Ranma, Linna Inverse, or Saya (blood+))

I haven't made any anime costumes in years. I think the only one I still have that's in good condition is Pyoko from Digi Charat...but I'm too old looking to wear it now.
