Crumb and Dan Clowes to Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns. Superheroes - Superman and Flash and Green Lantern and JSA; to indie - Eightball and Optic Nerve and Blankets and From Hell; to manga - Naruto and One Piece and Akira and Battle Royale; to Vertigo - Invisibles and Sandman and Testament and Swamp Thing and Fables; and many more. Other faves: Will Eisner, Frank Miller, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Mark Waid, Osamu Tezuka, Jack Kirby, and so much more I could list but it would go on forever.
