You are radically-cool/funny-weird... I can so not relate, but I love it! Thanks for the invite/add. Always nice to make the ersatz acquaintence of another New Englander (just don't tell anyone I'm from Away).

I thought we had already be-friend-ificated each other... but hey... I'm up for a second round! Thanks for the add and the re-friending! Love your Gallimimus, BTW.

Thanks for complimenting Gallimimus, he doesn't show it, but he loves the attention. As for me, well, I messed up and, well, hence the re-be-friend-ification-ing.

Wow... a comic store in Lewiston? Next time I'm north I'll have to stop in... keep the skis up!

Yep, I am living in Maine... it might be cold, but hey! I've lived in and around L.A. (born in Long Beach) and spent my formative years in SoCal. Don't get me started on why I left Cali... let's just say it isn't the state I was born in, ya know?
Thanks for the invite and great job on WireHeads! I'll keep watching/reading. You keep up your end!

Red,

Hey, no "Big L" tendancies on your part, but I can see we have similar tastes in women! Ha. Great work on the start at BWA. And if you're not a feminist (strong woman, kicking ass and taking names) then I don't know what one is.

Cheers!

Wow! Thanks for the invite! I've always admired your work... keep it up and I'll keep being a fan. I'm sure some of your work has graced www.beautywithattitude.com!

Hey! Thanks very much for the compliment. I'm glad you enjoyed Angels! I'm hoping to get another scene completed before too long. I've gone a long time without updating it, due to the constant of chaos in my life. But it's not been abandoned. And thanks to you for the request! I'm always happy to meet new people and make new friends. (^-^)

I had sea monkeys as a kid... are you their king? I hope not... my Dad flushed mine down the toilet. If they are anything like the alligators in the NY sewers, we're all in trouble. Or that X-Files stuff has some validity?
Thanx for the add!

Thanks for the invite, Scott! Excellent work on Marshmallow Robots! Where can I get me one o' those? The subtitle on the cover should read: "Got Tools?" Yeah, baby! She's got Beauty With Attitude!

Ha! yeah she is! And yeah she has tools! Well I am working real hard right now on the sketchbook with prelims and character designs right now. The first book should be out sometime next year. Thanks for the kind words and for the add:)

You mean that Rob Liefield was fake? Man, I am SOOOO gullible... I feel used. I hope that there is still room here for used over-the-hill fems on this site...

Thanks for the invite and comment, John! I'm working on a compendium of Mainer euphemisms to help me blend in... of course, the accent is a little tough to duplicate, but I don't see that as a problem. I figure if I speak like a Mainer, I won't be accused of being "from away"...
Happy New Year!

I know what you mean -- although I've been told that divorce looms the moment I utter the word "ayu."

[ Posted by RedwoodRed to DSGM on Dec 31st, 2006 11:42 AM ]...

Those are great! And of course, I've heard them... some repeatedly. The first one that actually shocked me I didn't see on your list, though. Heard in the Biddeford Wal-Mart from the mouth of a woman in her late 60's/early 70's: "Oh, I need to buy a new one of those. My last one $#!+ the bed." O_o Well, you could have dropped me with a feather...
Oh, and the comment about Maine's anatomical place in the continental U.S. in reference to weather...

:)

There are so many to keep up with.

Enjoy your new state, if you get up towards Gardiner, just find the police department, I'll be there.

Thanks
Daniel

PS Be sure to read what I do in the Bio, I'm not in the police department because I'm locked up... ;)

[ Posted by RedwoodRed to David_Mack on Dec 31st, 2006 11:37 AM ]...

Thanks for the add, David! I have loved Kabuki from the beginning. She has a prominent place in my Babe Collection, with five years of un-ursurped power on the display wall with her action figures. Great work! Super characters! Glad to see you here!

Hey! Thanks for the invite! Being a new(er) Mainer, maybe you could teach me the catch phrases and Maine-speak I need to know to pass as a mortal in this state? Or, would I even want that? =

Hey there. :)

Let's see..

Wicked = very nice.

Ah-VA! = I caught you doing something rather naughty.

Saying "yup" 3 times while breathing in. Generally used as an answer to a rhetorical statement.

"I'm tellin you", added to the end of a statement for emphasis. - "I seen Bob's new truck and she's some wicked sharp,...I'm tellin you."

"about as sharp as...[insert dull object here]". - Used when describing a less than stellar individual. - "Cary's sons' a good boy but he's about as sharp as an Elm tree."

"I'm just sayin..." added to the end of a statement as an escape hatch in case your called on the carpet for saying it. "Pete's not the sharpest tool in the shed...I'm just saying".

That should get you started, hope it helps.

Thanks for the note :)

Daniel

Hey Filip, thanks for the add! I love TC comics, but am still sad that Tomb Raider got dumped. *deep, forlorn sigh* You'll never find anything to replace her, but this new twist on WB comes close!
Happy New Year!

Keep an eye out, we've got a new Tomb Raider series slated for the Fall of 2007 and I think it's going to rock pretty hard. Happy New Year to you too.
