Hi there!

This is my little personal spot on ComicSpace. (If you want to visit my studio's space, then check out ShadowFoxComics.) By way of introduction, my name is Julie Staples and I'm a writer primarily, a letterer secondarily. I've been writing comic scripts for four years now and novels for just about as long (text-based ones, with the hope of whipping up a graphic novel script sometime in the near future). I enjoy anything science-fiction or fantasy-related and my writing tends to reflect that.

Credits - Script writer for RabidFrog Productions (formerly Makar Studios) since 2004. Helped form Shadow Fox Comics in late 2004 with husband and artist, Jason Staples. We currently have one title that I do the primary writing and lettering for, From Darkness to Shadow. Samples are certainly available upon request.

I've been a writer, however, since middle school and prose is my first love. As such, it would only be fitting that I have some novel writing to my credit. As of right now, I have written the first two books in a seven-part series titled The Shadow Fox Chronicles and am working on a trilogy titled The Vampire Flynn Trilogy in the interim before starting work on book three of the Chronicles. My work is available through Shadow Fox Comics, but I post writing samples on my writing blog and also have my books available for purchase through Lulu Press.
