"The interview you and I did a few years back still strikes a chord with me. It may have been because of such lines as "I think myths, folktales and religion are great sources to pillage for fiction booty...""
Tim,
I loved doing that interview with you, not only was it fun, but man did it stir up a little snit twister. There was one bit of correspondence that I don't think I ever forwarded to you. It was an enraged email from an established comic book artist, who was furious that I used "folktales and religion" in the same sentence, as if to imply that religion was as dismissable as folktales. I think my response was: "I didn't mention a specific religion." I pretty much got an two word "F&%k you!" email as a response. If you ever want to do another interview let me know. I promise I'll cause less trouble this time. With me, I guess that's like a politician promising to lower taxes. Keep up the great work.
PS Has anyone heard if the features on this website have an ETA for becoming functional? I think this is a great idea and would hate for people to just give up on it.
Best,

Chris:
These days, I prefer when an interview elicits some sort of response. So be sure to drop me a line when your next project is close to release. Cause as much trouble as you want, as far as I'm concerned.
As for your PS question, I think comicspace is getting hit with a slew of requests. If you go to the front page, they are doing a fairly good job of explaining where they are at in terms of implementing aspects.
Thanks for swinging by here, Tim |

"Love the Punch and Judy books. Will be on the lookout for your other books."
Thanks Joel, coming from you that means a lot.
"Eisner worthies: Gemma Bovary by Posy Simmonds (or was this out last year?) We Are On Our Own by Miriam Katin Do Not Go Where I Cannot Follow by Anders Nilsen."
Thanks for the suggestions, and I'll be sure to check them out. You forgot one of my favorite books of the year; "IronHide Tom." Seriously, that book was killer. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on December 16th, 2006 7:38 PM ]

Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but... I do have this small globe-shaped empty space on my bookshelf.
Seriously, though, thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you liked IHT! |
