Captain Canuck #1 was one of my first comics, probably 15 years ago. I am very happy to see that the character is still in play to this day. Maybe someday, the Elemental Fources will be able to crossover with CC.

RE: Q: Aging in webcomics? (Question for webcomic creators.)

Aging in webcomics should be planned. Or at least, have a safe "story map", predicting how should a character could/should look like in any age.

Indiana Jones for example, well, okay, he´s a movie character, we know how he looked when he was 9, when he was 40, when he was 90.

Better yet..BABYLON 5, the whole storyline was predicted so all flashbacks and flashforwards made complete sense. Something like that.

Perpetual youth only works with Highlander. Continuous reboot (Ultimates, Heroes Reborn, New Universe) only serves to annoy readers.

Heya! Thanks for the welcoming. I'm looking forward to the next Captain Canuck issue... I haven't had a chance to stop by my local comic shop and order it yet, but will make a point to soon. Long live (the) Captain Canuck(s)!

Hey, I enjoyed the Captain Canuck comics, by the way. Good writing, eh! I usually hate everything I read, but not this. Good writing makes a difference. Thanks again.

RE: Question about copyrighting work... (help)

Greetings. You would fill out a Copyright form VA (Visual Arts) and you can submit as many characters all at once as you'd like for the same $45. If you create comics...after you finish with the comic...you can do the same...you can put in 1 or more issues and copyright them with the VA form and submit them all at once for a single fee. Just know...patience is a must....while you can consider yourself copyrighted once you get a returned check (The say once you mail it...but lets not get crazy here) it will take MUCH MUCH longer (Up to 3-5 months) to receive the acual copyright registration form...so don't get yourself crazy over that...just watch for the returned check and post away!

Riel, thanks for the link about Johnny Hart's passing. He was one of the true innovators of the field.

I'd like to see a Captain Canuck crossover with your webcomic, Chris and Smith. I can see it now: it would be called Captain Canuck vs. the TimeCube.

[ Posted by riellanglois on Mar 10th, 2007 3:07 PM ]...

...and there will be some good news in this area to report very soon. Stay tuned.

[ Posted by MONOLITH on Mar 7th, 2007 8:51 AM ]...

Does the word "Cannuck" actually mean anything other than Canadian?

Good question. There's a full explanation on the etymology of Canuck HERE

[ Posted by LauraSeabrook on Mar 9th, 2007 4:29 PM ]...

As an editor at Wipipedia, I noticed this as well. It affected one page that I added Transgennder Day of Remembrance Webcomic Project and while this wasn't exactly deleted wholesale (it's been merged with the parent page) the issue became whether or not it was "notable". What does "notable" mean? It means that the page in question must have at least two "non-trivial" pages discussing it.
