| Bulletin: | Thought I'd share some of the fun stuff I go through, putting together artwork. The following are the first drafts of a promotional image for a children's series I'm working on called Jane's S.O.S.. It's fun stuff:![]() ![]() Like all my art--be it stand-alone illustrations or full-size comic pages--I sketch first in blue pencil to get a better idea of proportion and layout. I then break out the trusty ol' mechanical pencil .5 lead and erase, adjust, and refine. Scan in. Adjust picture colors so that the dark lines are a dark orangish/red, the lighter lines are light blue, select the blue channel and voici! No more blue! Just pretty pencils lines left behind. :) Crossposted in the El Jay. Jane's S.O.S. (c) Rivkah |
