Fanboy Background
Born and raised in the suburbs of North Jersey, I started my Comics/Crack addiction at an early age. Like alot of kids, I got into comics from my interest in toys like Transformers and GI Joe. Naturally, I branched out from there into mainstream stuff like Spider-Man, Batman and X-Men spending all my allowance and more(due to the generosity of my Mom) at the best comics store in all of Jersey...Joker's Child!!!

And of course, striving to be the best fanboy I can be, I've been reading everything under the sun since then and have a pretty diverse collection of comics from the late 70's to current. I currently spend most of my paycheck at DNA comics at Deerbrook mall in Houston, TX.

Artistic History
I've always been a fan of the technical aspect of comic art and sequential storytelling. But I did not get into actual drawing side of it until the summer of 2000, when I met this crazy bald guy at a meeting of the Baton Rouge Cartoonist Society who happened to be the founder. I can say my art has grow in leaps and bounds from my early sketches thanks to being surrounded by the talented stable of artists that comprise the BRCS such as Robert Bienvenu and Erik Van Buren to name a few.

I contributed the art and story of "Dream Warriors" to "Pipe Dream", the first anthology of the BRCS. As well as contributing to workshops and group discussions at their monthly meetings from 2000 to current.

My most recent contributions were drawings for the "Monster's of Louisiana" mini-comic(pic1,pic2) that was made for the LA Book Festival in 2006.

I'm currently working on a couple of drawings for BRCS's "Famous Robots" mini-comic for Staple in Austin, TX. If you happen to be at this small press convention on March 3, 2007 please come by our table to say hello and check out our art.

I will also be at the Red Robin tomorrow. And I posted a blurb about this event on ComiXtreme and ComicBloc, hope you don't mind the publicity. Hopefully the Star Wars nerds don't find out about it and crash. :P

Hi there!

Are you coming to Staple? It's going to be a killer show, 60+ exhibitors, exciting! BRCS should meet the Austin Creators group, they'll be at the show too! It's coming up so soon! Yikes! I'd better be ready! :)

Sad that it could end up only being 2 onboard when this is not only the best con to go to but a fun roadtrip to boot. You would think more people would plan in advance for something like this. Don't give up and keeping pushing them cuz u never know.
