| Bulletin: | What? Robert actually published a new story? Well... no. But I have republished an older one ("Eye, Urreal", a sword & sorcery tale originally published in Kings of the Night 2), in the brand new neo-pulp magazine Dark Worlds. "Eye, Urreal" has a nice dark tone I've always liked. Here's the first two paragraphs: Groaning timbers and the almost imperceptible cant of filthy floorboards told Urreal the Narrenschiff had entered another port. He dug his fingernail into wood and carved a line in the blood and dried excrement that covered it. This was the fourth stop since he had been captured in Jengao, and the fourth such scratch. If the winds stayed favorable, the ship could be as far away as the Picaroon Islands by now. The air in the hold was as foul as its crowded occupants, the portals having been sealed after one of the halfwits sliced his shoulder trying to squeeze out. The man lumbered forward now, drawn by the light, and Urreal turned away in disgust. Fresh blood flowed down the fool's jaw where he chewed through his lower lip... Order it via Lulu. ![]() |
