OMG...I am cursed with this comic.
I wrote this nice big long explanation, then it lost it. ARGH!!

Okay! SO! Here I go again. This time the short version.

I had a webcomic called Safehouse for about two years then one day my site fell apart and you couldn't access anything, my ex stole my computer that had every comic on it, so I was left with nothing.

Now I work for a newspaper, and they wanted Safehouse, so I have started the strip over again!

I will post what I can find of the original, and I have another comic called "FireLight Gleam" that you can view at my deviant account http://bandeau.deviantart.com

ALSO! If you are some amazing person with website making skills and would maybe want to help me out in that department that would be wonderful!! I really want to get FLG it's own site, but I have no idea how to go about it without paying thru the arse.

email: firelightgleam@hotmail.com

Thanks for looking!

Safehouse is a small comic that runs bi-weekly in the Cariboo Advisor on Wednesdays. Not many comics in it so far, I will post a more detailed description when I have more time, and am not at work.

Cheers! Let's prepare to blow some minds with our upcoming Stick Figure Drama / Safehouse CROSSOVER EVENT! And if we can't succeed in blowing their minds, let's at least confuse the heck out of 'em.

So how is it that you don't allow ad reps to pull well known characters off of google to use in ads, and yet Dr. Phil and the Cool Aid man are frequent guests in your comic? *glares in accusation* not that I care, it's funny seeing Kathy's face twist ^_^

Ah, there is a simple (and yes, actually legal) reason for this. And that reason is that SATIRE is considered "fair use". As long as you are using copyrighted and/or trademarked material in a satirical form, you can legally get away with it.

Using copyrighted and/or trademarked material to sell something...that's entirely different.

This, of course, opens up the grand debate of whether or not stick figure drama is, in fact, satire, or just crap. At which point, it seems in my best interest to become suddenly distracted by something shiny in the corner, and bring this comment to a close.

One, I didn't really need an answer to that as I had a feeling it would be something lengthy and legal and Two...you don't spend much time away from a computer, do you?

Well, whether you needed to know the answer or not, now you do, like it or not. Perhaps it'll prove useful in the future. Perhaps not.

As for my time away from my computer, you happened to catch me in front of it *only* because I'm trying to troubleshoot the non-connecting of my Xbox 360 and my PC, which has been driving me nuts for weeks. Otherwise, I'd probably be in my living room, drinking beer and listening to music. Which should be streaming from my PC to my Xbox. But isn't. Which is why I'm here.

Yuuup, just bring up the 360 and rub that in my face....as I cram several years worth of stick figure drama into my already packed with useless information brain....this is gunna hurt in the morning.

Stick Figure Drama is supposed to hurt. That's part of its job.

Apologies about the 360 nose-rub. I was sort of hoping that the fact that it is refusing to work as intended might take a bit of the edge off. You'd think a Microsoft product could properly and easily network with another Microsoft product. But, hah, no. Microsoft and simplified networking is like peanut butter and, uh, I dunno, hydrogen molecules. They both exist in the same space, but they don't have much to do with each other as a general rule.
