| Bulletin: |   I'm going to be one of the judges in the contest this year, so I'm helping get the word out that Small Press Idol '09 is now open for entries!... Small Press Idol is the greatest amateur's contest in comics; it's not for everyone...but I found it a real experience, and it will be fun; and for those that participate, it will challenge you to be the best you can be. If you survive Round 1, your work WILL BE PUBLISHED! How far you get determines the scale of this; the winner getting a #0 issue and a 4-issue mini-series deal; plus a cash prize of $200+ This year, as well as the contest's books being available to buy online, they will also have national comic store distribution through Haven Distributors! It's our biggest year ever! So if you're interested in the new and different; whether you're a writer, artist--or a publisher or fan, looking for something fresh: you're in the right place.
