Heya Sam. Thanks for the add and the kind words. Zuda? Thanks but nope. LOL It was fun but I've NO IDEA what it is they're looking for and don't wanna' waste anymore time trying to figure it out.

You've got some fantastic work here and I'm lookin' forward to seeing more. Take care and best of luck!

Thanks a bunch Sam. I will do the same when I get my sites up and running. How is the web comic going? I'm thinking of doing that until I can publish in book form. hope all is well.

The site is chugging along. I don't have a ton of traffic, but it seems to be climbing steadily. I highly recommend doing a webcomic. The need to consistently feed the site with new pages is a good motivator. And it's kinda cool to see hits coming in from all over the world.

cool stuff man. hit me up sometime. your work is very surreal in my opinion. take it easy and hope to hear from you again soon.

Hey thanks for checking it out, man. I would clasify my stuff as sort of "hyper-real". It's realer than reality if you know what I'm saying.

Hey I miss calculated the number of pages in my first and second issues. So I was wondering if you would want to do a trade? I'll hook up a pin-up of one of your characters if you do one of my character Hellmouth. i'm not printing them until june so whenever you have time (and are interested) let me know. take care and cheers.

Hey there, thanks for the add. Your style of artwork is very interesting. What type of tools do you use? Traditional or digital?

[ Posted by KurtisWiebe on Apr 3rd, 2008 2:01 PM ]...

Sam,

Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to see you didn't win the Zuda competition, hopefully you'll be able to get your Untrue Tales published in another format. They are fantastic.

So, when it happens, we can both buy each other's stuff off the shelf. ;)

Kurtis

Demons in the closet is winning....

wtf...

EDIT: It's definitely not the best of the group. Somethin seems fishy.

Hey Kurtis,

Been so wrapped up in the Zuda thing I forgot to check in on this place. Anyway Supertron is back on top at the moment. Looks like that one and Demons are gonna slug it out for the top spot. I was really rooting for Pieces of Eden to come from behind for a last minute upset, but the other guys seem pretty far ahead of the pack at this point.

I don't think there's anything fishy really. Supertron's got a previous fanbase from the Popgun anthology and I understand the Demon's guy is a somewhat well-known author with a sizable fan-base, plus his artist apparently has her own fans from another long-running webcomic.

It's been a kick to be part of the contest whatever the final outcome. Hopefully I can take advantage of some of that exposure to spin off my own something or other.

Thanks for checking in, man!

Cheers,
Sam

Thanks a lot, Kurtis! I appreciate it. Good luck with your submissions. I have no doubt we'll see some of your stuff on Zuda as soon as you get your proposal together.

Or better yet some actual hold-in-your hand Wode and Wrench comics!

[ Posted by KurtisWiebe on Dec 18th, 2007 4:21 PM ]...

Hey Sam, thanks for checking out Wrench. Yeah, I'm very pleased with it so far and am looking forward to pitching it to publishers.

Btw, I've seen you over at Zuda comics, you going to be submitting anything there? Because you should be.

Hey Kurtis,
Good luck pitching Wrench. I imagine you'll get a few nibbles on that one.
And yeah, I've submitted some stuff to Zuda. Keeping my fingers crossed. Have you submitted anything to them?

[ Posted by KurtisWiebe on Dec 19th, 2007 4:38 PM ]...

I have a script written for the artist I worked on Wode with, but he's full on busy right now so it'll be awhile before we submit.

Good luck with your projects, I've always been a big fan of your work. Smart and really well illustrated.
