Once upon a time there was a princess, and unlike all the other princesses in the world, she was special, a beckon of hope, a shining star. When the royal doctors gazed upon her they exclaimed over her beauty, which was apparent in her squished up, ruddy face, and round shaking cheeks, proper for bawling. And bawl she did.

When she was born, she did nothing but cry, constantly. When the royal portrait artist tried to capture her forever in oils, all he could do was paint her massive mouth, open and toothless. People walked around with hands on their ears, looking like they were trying to fly away on their elbows, and then they walked around with earplugs. This way whenever someone tried to talk to someone else, they had to say ‘WHAT?!’ a lot, and everyone developled their miming skills. In fact, quite a few royal servants started up an acting troupe, having discovered their talents. No one complained, no one groaned, and everyone doted without question, for she was the princess.

Her parents took it as a good blessing. A daughter who was not satisfied from the very beginning would certainly bring about great change.

Bumblebee & Fly

This comic has a rather peculiar story. In that, I dreamt about it one morning, started it during break at work, and finished it at home. It is also done only in markers. No pencil work. So there are obvious mistakes, but I liked the challenge.
