sardonyx
I've been collecting comics since around grade 6. I'm a DC junkie, especially stuff from the 60s/70s/80s. I used to work at a comic store when I was in high school, a place called Legends of the Game in Toronto. My favorite comic shops in Toronto are The Beguiling and Paradise Comics. As far as what I collect, just about anything DC that came out forever ago. The superhero stuff (Justice League, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern etc). The horror stuff (House of Mystery, House of Secrets, Phantom Stranger, The Expected). Old romance comics (Falling in Love, Girls Love, Girls Romance, Secret Hearts, Heartthrobs). Lately I've been getting into the old sci-fi stuff stuff like early House of Mystery, Strange Adventures, Tales of the Unexpected, Metal Men, etc. I do like Marvel too! I grew up on the X-men.. I have a special place in my heart for the Inhumans. My favorite characters include Wonder Woman, Star Sapphire, Adam Strange, Phantom Stranger, John Constantine, Catwoman (silver age), Mera, Aquaman, Metamorpho, Supergirl(Adventure comics era), Bat Woman, Elastic Girl(Doom Patrol), Huntress(Earth 2), Silver Swan(1st WW series), Crazy Jane(Doom Patrol), Delirium(Sandman), Silver Banshee, Rogue, Polaris, Medusa(Inhumans), Black Bolt, Black Cat. Favorite artists... oh my goodness, this could take up pages and pages. Neal Adams is right up there at the top! Carmine Infantino, Nick Cardy.. Bernie Wrightson, Craig Hamilton, Dan Brereton, John Bolton, Jim Steranko, Marshall Rogers, Alex Thoth, Mike Mignola, Joe Chiodo, Jim Aparo, Sheldon Moldoff, Ian Churchill, Jae Lee, Leonardo Manco, Chris Bachalo, Brian Bolland, Adam Hughes, Travis Charest, Cynthia Martin, Terry Dodson. I know I've forgotten soo many! My blog is here: livejournal, I've got a Myspace as well. I forget where it is though. Not much there anyways. I've also got an online clothing store called Dollhaus. You should buy yourself or your SO something from there coz my parents are ready to kill me for all the space that my inventory is taking up! ;)

Thanks for the add. I have to admit, it was the web coder tag that grabbed my attention first. I think I am drawn to competence in fields I'm not so competent in. If not to pick up my slack at least to get advice from! lol. |

Nice to meet you. I noticed that we have alot of the same tastes in books and appreciation for some of the same creators. Especially silver and bronze age DC Comics books.
Anyone that likes the Earth 2 Huntress is a friend of mine.
Best regards, Scott McCullar |

Thanks for adding me. Great list of artists...what about Wally Wood drawing the Justice Society? (one of my favorite DC comics). Darwyn Cooke's "New Frontier" is also amazing. |
