Hello from taking a rest from the road, folks.
What a wild past few weeks it has been! Scooter Harris and Studio Hadra hit the road hard from Las Vegas to Chandler and to Phoenix again. And despite rumors we refuse to dignify, Scooter is back working on new projects.
First of all, we’d like to thank the friendly folks too many to count at the Burlesque Hall of Fame and the Orleans. All four full days of the 2009 show was a high watermark event for everyone involved, including Studio Hadra. Photos of this historic event will soon be posted.
Special thanks to Nicolette Daly aka Desire D’Amour for her wonderful job as BHF vendor liason all through the weekend and performer on Sunday’s closing show. Java, BACHELOR PAD MAGAZINE publisher and BHF sponsor, for his support and friendship (check his latest effort at http://www.bachelorpadmagazine.net.) DJ GooGooMuck and Bella Starr for their friendship as well. Satan’s Angel and Vic for their loving support and debuting their new t-shirt (which features a design Scooter did). The many patrons, performers, legends, volunteers, vendors, hotel staff who really the BHF weekend an enjoyable one. The Burlesque Hall of Fame (or affectionately known as Exotic World)…for without it, we’d wouldn’t be there.

Extra special thanks to Stephanie Harris, Scooter’s sister and great friend. She was an invaluable help and part of the reason why Studio Hadra a great success during the BHF weekend.
Locally, we’d like to thank Matt and his incredible staff for the Chandler Cinemas, which shut its doors for the final time this past Sunday. Scooter had always a great time there. Recently thanks to Trash City Entertainment, he brought the girls from the local burlesque troupe Provocatease for a successful appearance at the Black Friday event there. The Chandler Cinemas will be missed.
Also, thanks to Provocatease too. More news about this up and coming group coming soon.
Scooter Harris and Studio Hadra had recently donated some copies of TRUE CRIME THEATER: SURFACE STREET CEMETARY to the Phoenix based art gallery The Trunkspace. All proceeds from those donated graphic novels will go to one of the owners, who was recently burglarized of everything in her home. For more info about The Trunkspace, go to….
