| Bulletin: | Well, I should smack myself silly. It's been six months since the launch of ESCAPE FROM TERRA, the on-going adventure web-comic, on the Big Head Press site, and I've completely neglected to mention it here. ESCAPE FROM TERRA is set in the late 21st Century, when humanity is busy colonizing the Solar System, with well-established colonies on Luna (the Moon) and Mars, and a growing cohort of rough-and-ready miners setting up shop in the Asteroid Belt. Our story begins with a focus on one such colony, located on Ceres, the largest of the asteroids. Ceres City has grown prosperous enough to attract the attention of the United World government on Terra (Earth), which decides it's time to reign in those cowboy-miners and make 'em pay taxes to the motherworld. So the U.W. sends their best collector, Guy Caillard, and his assistant, the beautiful Fiorella Stellina, to establish a toe-hold. However, things don't work out as planned. ESCAPE FROM TERRA is co-written by Sandy Sandfort and myself (yes I'm an artist, but I'm learning to be a writer), with art by the amazing LEE OAKS! Check it out -- it's free to view on-line, and updates every weekday, with a 3-4 panel strip Mon through Thurs and a full page of comics goodness on Fridays. |
