About time for a new profile here.
My background: I attended the University of Manitoba, School of Art and graduated with a BFA. For my thesis in Fine Arts I was one of the last standing comic artists (of my year), who somehow managed to stick to my guns and continue with comic illustration. I created a short graphic novel about magic and the supernatural in the modern world and printed in an extremely limited run. Since then I went to working with my good friend and former UofM Fine Arts student, Greg Waller, digitally colouring comics. Although we worked for many well established publishers, we both still had the creative itch to create something of our own, and have since moved on to fulfill those dreams.
"7 GENERATIONS"
I am currently working on a graphic novel to be published by Portage & Main Press titles "7 Generations." This Graphic novel will follow the history of one Plains Cree Indian family from the 1700's up to the present day, depicting their day to day lifestyle, their struggles, downfalls and successes. The graphic novel is written by David Robertson. The first of four graphic novels will be published in early 2010.
"THE BOOKS OF ERA
In the fantasy series, "The Books of Era" I plan to explore the relationship between mankind and the world and the consequences of his actions. The book takes place in a world where mankind took it upon himself to become a god, master of his world and command the universe. He created for himself a heaven to rule in, but a greate catastrophe struck the city and mankind was returned to the earth. Those that survived the Fall built a new life for themselves, but their past was reduced to myths and legends. However, centuries later, secret societies are on a quest to reawaken the old gods so that mankind can be redeemed and return to his rightful place in heaven. Caught in the middle of these struggles is a young boy, Seth, who is pulled from his idyllic life and thrust into a strange world and he must take a journey that will lead to salvation or absolute destruction.
