I've been a comics fan for a while now, though I must admit to a lapse during the dread early 90's.
I'm a big fan of Will Eisner. Finding old reprints of the Spirit stories is what drew me back into collecting around '99 and I don't think I'll stop again. Two other titles that really drew me back to comics was Ed Brubaker and Michael Lark's "Scene of the Crime" and Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber's "Whiteout".
I go by the handle kidbenicia on the Comic Geek Speak podcast forums. This is due to the fact that I grew up in a small California town called Benicia and a while ago some friends of mine took to calling me "The Kid". It just sort of reminded me of old Wild West nicknames.
Back in High School I was sure that I would draw comics for a living; which has not happened yet.
