Mike Wieringo passed away last Sunday.

I'm sad about it. I never met him, or seen him. We never talked via the net or anything. But I'm sad, sad like... like I did know him y'know. It's strange, I guess after reading comics drawn by a person for years, and having the memories that were made possible by him, you get ... I dunno... hard to say. It's like they make that comic, and do that artwork just for you.
Guess I'll always remember him by the issues of Robin and the Flash he did. It was Mike Wieringo and Chuck Dixon that made me actually like Tim Drake as the new Robin. Those were some of the best issues of Robin I can remember. And I remember vividly how disappointed I was when Mike wasn't on that title anymore. So much so I kinda stopped collecting it. I still have those issues.
And his Flash! Man oh man, his Wally West Flash was great too!

It's hearbreaking.

Mike Wieringo is a legend.
You will be missed.

I'm sorry I never got to know you, but thank you so much for the memories and inspiration you gave me.

Rest in peace Mike Wieringo.
