Header: Comic Geek Chatter Vol 1
Bulletin: Okay, so I'm a bit behind, but just wanted to comment (and this is a good excuse to put up a bulletin for anyone who's reading) on the Annihilation mini series from Marvel that came out a few months back as well as some other comic chatter.
I finished reading Annihilation the other night and loved it! It was so kick ass and now I'm getting Annihilation: Conquest. Now, I'm not a die hard for sci-fi stuff. I mean I'll watch sci-fi movies and I dig Star Wars and dig the classic Star Trek. And even though I like Battlestar Galactica, if I had to choose, I'd lean more towards a story involving the supernatural than science fiction (this excludes the general superhero genre). But damn, Annihilation was a great read! I haven't read the tie-ins yet but look forward to checking them out now. It's great superhero sci-fi! With some awesome characters!
So I started thinking, Marvel should SO bring out a game of this series. Make it EXACTLY like Ultimate Alliance! And have characters like Nova, Super-Skrull, Ronan, Gamora, Firelord, Starlord, Silver Surfer, Drax etc to choose from. Maybe have the Inhumans and Shi'ar in there for some more variety of space heroes and off you go to fight the Annihilation Wave. It could be awesome!

Other must reads on my list would be The Immortal Iron Fist. It's such a great series with plot twists and gritty art that sets the mood. Great character moments and the perfect blend of action like the Die Hard and Lethal Weapon movies mixed with the oriental flare of Crouching Tiger and Hero. I mean, there's a guy in there called Fat Cobra who's cool!

Thor. Man it's such a pretty book and even though the story does seem slow at times, there are moments in there that just make it so memorable. Some of the highlights for me were when Thor beats the snot outta Iron Man without even trying and of course, when Asgard gets a postbox. Some of the subtle things like that bring a warmth to the book and you start to feel for these Gods that have made earth home.

The Sinestro Corps War is over but it's just the beginning and Hal Jordan's Green Lantern is full of cosmic awesomeness (dunno if thats even spelt right, but you get the idea). After the rocking Sinestro War, I can't wait to see what's next. One of the best moments is when Hal saves his brother from Parallax. You gotta see it to see how cool it is.

Teen Titans: Year One. I've read the first issue and just from that alone I think it's a gonna be great. The classic Titans were the team for me growing up and it's almost a nostalgia trip seeing thee characters again. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Anyhoo, thats all from me for now. Enjoy.

Cheers
