I love Johnny Cash.

I get alot of hate mail.

I am addicted to coffee and Camel cigarettes.

I am a veteran. I was a combat illustrator in the United States Marines. I just got out in the fall of 2006. I got paid to draw, paint, take pictures, do comics, and layout under fire, so my art experience has been a bit different than some.

I have tourettes syndrome.

I am doing technical instructional sequential art now. It pays the rent. It is background specific and intense so it helps me grow in my entertainment comics from doing this. If I can get permission I'll post some soon.

I am also working with Elbert Smith on a little light hearted book Called Clockwork Man. I got a little picture I did of our creation for my icon. It’s kind of a Pinocchio story with a bit o’ pulp thrown in there and some drama, almost like doctor who meets Doctor Phibes.

Oh yeah, I have obsessed over Doctor Who my whole life.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going!
If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page.
Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

Hmm... I like Pinocchio, love Phibes, enjoy all things pulp, but you didn't specify about the camel cigarrettes.
Personally, I go with non-filtered.

Doctoring the Raynauds like I usually do, I hate this stuff, it really blows! Oh well, at least I got into my 10th comic, it is all good bro!

How can you not love the new Doctor Who series?

I used to watch the old one now and again, and I'm really digging the new.

Rock on.

Thanks for the add. There's just something about that blue police call box and the eccentric doctor that Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica (both good shows mind) never could touch when I was a kid. I'd love to color a Dr. Who comic someday. That would be a dream come true.
