After over twenty years of people not understanding my obsession over the show I am not surprised to hear you don't get it. I wouldn't get it if I didn't grow up on it. I am more shocked that Doctor Who has become popular.

Oh, I have loved it since about the impressionable age of seven. I read the books and watched old tapes for years. I thought I was the only guy in the U.S. that cared about the show. Then something amazing happened, and now I find that I wasn't the only one and it is bigger than ever. Doctor Who Returned! I wasn't a geek; I was cutting edge, cool. I must be the authority on cool. I now run into sixteen year old girls who love David Tennant and Doctor Who. How weird does that sound?

I have had a hard time getting into alot of newer sci-fi. I like stuff like The Last Man on earth, Forbidden Planet, The day the earth stood still, and all that old junk that had the cool looking robots. Doctor Who just seems to be the only sci-fi with some of that stuff anymore.
