Hey!
My name is Ed and I'm a wannabe comic creator. /////////////////////////////////////////////// Well, with One More Day, Marvel succeeded in alienating another large section of their readers. Is it a conscious effort to get rid of older readers, I wonder? Captain America was the most "moral" character they had. They murdered him on the street. --Had his ex-girlfriend shoot him three times in the chest after being shot once from across the street. Dead. Spider-Man is arguably the second most "moral" character they had. They had him be duped by Iron Idiot to betray his friends and now have him making a deal with the Marvel equivalent of the devil to bring his dead aunt back to life. (Yes, I know that Mary Jane played the Eve role and got the ball rolling, but Peter joined right in! Bite that apple!) Have any of you been inside a comics store lately? "Disgruntled" doesn't begin to describe the attitude of all the former, Marvel Zombies I've spoken to! Civil War pounded a wedge in-between Marvel and many of it's fans. Cap's death spread the gap for some, while completely severing the tie for others (like myself). Pete's deal with the devil is driving a truck through the hole! Yes, these storylines have people talking in the comics media. Yes, they're different and risky. They are also stupid and reckless. They are shoving Marvel fans toward the competition. If their sales don't show it yet, they soon will! --Ed Shang's BulletinsDisplaying 1-5 of 5 bulletins...
