Oh joy. More internet time. Alright, let's get to this....

Howdy! My name is Shannon Eric Denton. I started adding the Eric years ago so people wouldn't get embarrassed when they finally met me at a Con and revealed they thought I was a really cool chic that liked comics and NFL football.

Sorry. That would be really cool but I already found her and married her.

I do however, have a small publishing company called KOMIKWERKS we started in 2000. I'm the co-founder and my business partner is Patrick Coyle. We just published a kids line of novels called ACTIONOPOLIS. We just released our first seven books and more to come. Go to ACTIONOPOLIS to check them out.

They make great holiday gifts for all your youthful friends and family! (Hint Hint)

MAY06 3257 WHAT I DID ON MY HYPERGALACTIC INTERSTELLAR SUMMER VACATION

MAY06 3256 FOREST KING

AUG06 3416 ZOMBIE MONKEY MONSTER JAMBOREE

We also published my buddies book THE WORLD OF QUEST which I set up at Warner Brothers as a show. The show debuted on the CW alongside the new Spidey cartoon! And we got the awesome Yen Press to re-publish the book and it looks sweet! Volume 2 of WORLD OF QUEST is out soon.

I have a bunch of projects I did for Desperado/Image (now just Desperado).

TABULA RASA: JUL06 1677

BROTHER BEDLAM: MAY06 1720

THE REVENANT: JUL08 3913

"...rocketing a pulp comic straight into the 21st century. Who is the Revenant and why is he after these mob people is all a part of the unfolding mystery – a welcome graphic novel you’ll read in one shot. For those looking for a complete story that will enthrall you’ll be hard pressed to find a better book than THE REVENANT and it is easily a 4-star book."
-AIN'T IT COOL NEWS

"You’ll definitely want to check this one out."
-SCOOP

"Cinematic in its telling, the book is at its heart a gorefest...but with a whodunnit trail of clues it owes almost as much to Detective Comics and Dick Tracy as it does to Nightmare on Elm Street."
-RUE MORGUE magazine

"THE REVENANT is a darkly humorous and thrilling tale that consistently keeps the reader laughing, guessing and horrified at nearly every turn. This books manages to blend the classic ghost-takes-revenge story idea, a whodunnit mystery and plenty of action sequences into a seamless, fast-paced and immensely enjoyable read."
-COMICS WAITING ROOM

"The book is a thrill ride… page to page action! The break-neck pacing is supported by some beautiful art that pops in all the right ways… from urban landscapes to decapitations, every page is on the money. This book is like 'The Sopranos' meets the 'X-files' with and integration of classic pulps that does nothing but enhance everything present."
-THE PULLBOX

"Scarier than 'The Shadow' and more sadistic than 'The Spider', 'The Revenant' grabs the pulp genre by the neck, twists it till it cracks, and then drags it into the 21st century. With a mysterious hero, ultra-violent action, really bad bad guys and, of course, it's super sexy ladies, what more can you ask for in a comic?"
-F.J. DeSANTO, Co-Producer of WILL EISNER'S THE SPIRIT and TUROK: SON OF STONE

"In the spirit of the Shadow, and perhaps in the shadow of the Spirit, comes a new ghastly avenger... the Revenant. This book pays homage to the great vengeful heroes of the past, while creating a thoroughly engaging universe of terror. The Day of the Dead has arrived!"
-HANS RODIONOFF - Screenwriter of "LOST BOYS 2" and writer of Vertigo's "Mnemovore" and "Lovecraft"

COMMON FOE (covered in ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY) aug07 3545 COMMON FOE TPB

"An inspired genre mash-up. When it begins, you think you're reading an excellent, hard-boiled war comic, then the floor drops out from beneath you and you realize that the term "horrors of war" has shadings that most of us have never considered.”
-DWAYNE MCDUFFIE ( producer of Warner Bros. JUSTICE LEAGUE and STATIC SHOCK)

"With Common Foe, Denton and Giffen have taken the war comic and given it the best twist I've seen in a few decades. Highly enjoyable and gripping stuff." – ED BRUBAKER (Writer of CAPTAIN AMERICA, DAREDEVIL, CRIMINAL, SLEEPER, IRON FIST)

“A war comic with a twist. Visceral and guttural. This team provides a great slow burn tale that eventually explodes in a glorious orgy of vampire violence.” – JOE CASEY ( Co-creator of Cartoon Network’s BEN 10 )

"Writer Keith Giffen and Shannon (Eric) Denton craft a rat-a-tat narrative..."-ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"Mariotte, Denton, and Cboins are creators whose love of comics pours onto the page. Graveslinger is a definite must-read!"- Steve Niles: (creator of 30 DAYS OF NIGHT)

"Graveslinger is a hard drivin', rip-snortin' tale of cowboys and zombies that brings to Old West to life in all its mythical widescreen glory -- the clever writing and gritty art means you can practically smell the gunpowder, sense the dusty ground tremble under thundering hooves...and feel the creeping horror of supernatural menace!" -
Javier Grillo-Marxuach (Producer on tv's LOST and MEDIUM and creator of the Viper Comic's THE MIDDLEMAN)

" Graveslinger combines two genres that I truly love--Westerns and Zombie horror. What other reason do you need to check out this cool new book? " -Joe Madureira (artist on MARVEL'S ULTIMATES)

GUTWRENCHER from Shadowline/ Image Comics (DEC07 2050)with Steve Niles

A hundred and thirty years ago I drew Deadpool for Marvel...after I got home from my job doing Marvel cartoons. Nothing like drawing three pages a night to really show people your best after already putting in a nine hour day drawing.

This should answer the question of why I switched from comic artist to comic writer. Or maybe not.

I write and draw for TV so I can't get as much done as I'd like. ( shows like Teen Titans, Ninja Turtles, Las Vegas, Jimmy Neutron, HiHi Puffy AmiYumi, yada yada yada,...)

I also work with Keith Giffen a lot cause he's insane and I'm drawn to that sort of thing. He also likes football....

And I'm an editor at WildStorm/DC Comics.

RE: Kids Comic Con guests for this weekends free Con in the Bronx!

I SO support this event! My only hope is this will be continued next year when I can make plans to attend. This industry NEEDS more events like this. I hope they get media coverage.
