Whats up fella? Get some of your art work up.

[ Posted by sharkeyes to gidz on Mar 23rd, 2008 9:17 AM ]...

Where the fuck have you been? Eh? Two very important questions me thinks. Glad your back with the nerds as I haven’t had chance to rip off (i mean pay homage to) your art work for ages.

Also my massive crush on Janea from neighbours is getting out of control.

Yeah, yeah I know. Its been years. I'm getting my stuff together now. Daves got me a 3 pager script lined up which I'm already pencilling. Get me back into the groove.

Your work is pretty damn sweet. Good to know you've taken the lessons I taught you to heart. Thinking of heading to the Comics con in May. Its been years since I've had a photo taken with a talented artist sat upon my knee.

Hey buddy, looks like you are as prolific as ever work wise. I was always a fan of flick and jube. Do you know if any other ex temple members are on here or still struggling away in a dark room some wheres?

Hey, great to hear from you, dude. Temple of Heroes-Wow! That takes me back. Haven't yet heard from anyone else from TOH apart from your good self but I'm sure a few will be joining up with Comic Space in due time.

[ Posted by purecrass on May 5th, 2007 3:25 PM ]...

Hey, guys!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction to this comicspace site, Neil! I'm having much fun, and on a creative high at the moment.

As to the amount of ex-Temple members on this site, I've been tracking everyone down since I got here. There's Darren Taylor, Neill Cameron (who's doing damn well for himself, might I add. If you haven't already brought Best New Manga do so now!), Shane Chebsey (honorary member), John Freeman (check out rokcomics.com for great new opportunities!) and Laura Watton.

John Kirkham's creatively renewing himself at the mo, Tony Suleri may soon be joining up, and I've just got in touch with my old mate Stu Giddings today (who's busy pointing guns at folk and crying 'I am the laaaw!' for real).

As for the Temple, it's also about to renew itself. It got to issue 55 last month, at which point the realisation dawned that it's only had six members for the last few years. So Tony's trying to build a digital Temple site with the support of John Kirkham. As for the paper Temple, I think 55 was probably the last issue. Will let you know when the digital site gets up and running.

There’s something wonderful about this whole concept which tickles the shit outta me. Jesus in an “I’m with stupid” t-shirt is genius. So glad the first story is up and it’s v. good. Much “praise” to the entire team.
Why couldn’t Sunday school have been this interesting? I could have been one of the saved rather than the godless whore that I am.

If Sunday school was this good, I would never have been forced to make this book, so I guess it all evens out in the end! :)

Thanks!

Will you gentlemen be attending the Bristol Comic Expo thing on May 12th? If you can get your friend to come "in character" I’m sure you would get in for free and then you could get him beaten by local youths later in town. Not only would it be funny but if you film it you have another short for youtube. It’s a winning combo.

Me and Dylan will be attending, possibly Brian will pop along too. We’re going mainly to drink and point at people that we HOPE are more nerdy and less attractive than us.

hey bub, i really like your work and you have a load of it. Outlaw was my fav. i like it when there is thought and good story telling put into a fight scene

Cheers for the comment fella. I really have no idea why you are worried about your art. It’s good. Really dynamic and have a brilliant grasp of page layout and inking. After three years of training with the best you are going to rock hard cock. I didn’t mean that to sound as gay as it did. Ah well. I’m so jealous that you actually got off your arse and got into Kuberts School (well deserved though). Not only are you gunna get a job in comics after, you get to spend 3 years in America with ladies who love the Irish accent. Man you are gunna have to be spectacular with your time management. Hope you keep us updated on how the course is going, what assignments they give you and how the ladies taste. Up the Celts.

hey bub, just read your Holiday part one. Really impressed. I love the fact the story and concept is totally original. It’s the beauty of comics that they can support any genre or cross genre. Oh and any script that has the words SWINE-CUNT in it is a winner for me.
