I've been reading comics since my mother got me the Best Superman Stories Ever Told trade when I was younger than ten-years-old. I didn't buy comics then but I read and re-read that book until the pages fell out. Then in high school, at Fordham Prep, I was introduced to Phil's comic book/arcade/gym/illegal drugs shop. I was basically an apartment with a Metal Slug machine, a Marvel vs. Capcom machine, lots and lots of comic books, and a punching bag. My friends and I couldn't figure out how he stayted in business cause all we ever saw people do in there was play Marvel vs. Capcom, but we knew drugs must be involved. Phil was a great guy though; always happy to see you. Almost everyday I'd stop there after school on the way to the train station. I'd buy one back issue of Fantastic Four Vol. 1 with the dollar I saved by not buying a drink at lunch. That was the beginning of my healthy addiction. After that I started collecting War Machine and Tomb Raider at Phil's. Now I shop at Alternate Realities on Central Ave in Scarsdale, NY and Midtown Comics in Manhattan, NY.

Fantastic Four is still my absolute favorite, but I've since branched out to many others. Among my favorites are: Fantastic Four (obviously), The Spirit (new series), Fables, Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Runaways, 100 Bullets, Girls, and Top 10.

Graphic Novels I like include: Pride of Baghdad; Maus I & II; Akira; Watchmen; V For Vendetta; The Dark Knight Returns; League of Extraordinary Gentleman I & II; The Long Halloween; Dark Victory; Superman: Red Son, Secret Identity, For All Seasons; Kingdom Come; Marvels; Earth X series; A Contract With God Trilogy; Understanding Comics.
