When I first started my comic 'The Doll House', the artwork was pretty much at the best of my skill.

Sixty pages later, I look at what I have drawn and feel that it has become 'below my skill'. I think that I'm able to do better than I have been doing lately, improve my artwork on different levels. It is at least, in my opinion, time for that. It is not that I hate the style in which I have been drawing (save for the hatching of Cindy's hair, which I think was a mistake...) but I'm just ready for the next intersection on the road. It so happens that that intersection has appeared. The beginning of a new album just is THE perfect point to throw in a couple of changes.

These changes will make the comic look quite a bit different I think - as I'm basically going to revamp the way the characters look (both facial and what they're wearing). Of course they won't be changing so much that you won't recognise them, but I hope they'll be looking a little more lively and stunning. Also some other (minor) things should be improved, such as the way hands look and such (I wasn't really happy about those so went to practise and get some tips on drawing hands).

I have already been doing a couple of character sketches in the new style and I like them. I hope you will too.

I have taken page 61-63 off-line for the time being. Whether I will use these pages in the old style as a kind of 'prelude' or revamp them as well I haven't yet decided. Either way, you will see the same content returning soon. I will be opening a gallery for Album 2, to make it easier accessible from the main page - in a couple of days.
