Salutations!

I am a freelance cartoonist and animator, and teacher of graphic novel classes at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. I'm currently working with writer Peter Gelman on a graphic novel called Island of the Moths.

The Introvert Manifesto is my latest webcomic. It started as an effort to share a few tidbits of knowledge with my younger fellow introverts, and has quickly turned into something much bigger. The challenge now is to integrate all the disparate elements in my head clamoring for panel time. (Note: episodes 7-20 were completed in 24 hours, at Cosmic Monkey Comics' 24 Hour Comics Day.)

Muddlemarch was a print comic strip that appeared in alternative papers from Oregon to Florida. I officially closed the strip in 2007, ten years after it began, as near as I can figure. This gallery shows some highlights.

Business and Treasure is the result of the first Instant Graphic Novel workshop, held at the 2008 Stumptown Comics Fest. 14 participants created a story, designated content for 20 pages, and drew those pages in under 2 hours. We had a ton of fun, and will surely do it again at next year's SCF.

Giblet is a webcomic based on a group of peripheral characters seen Muddlemarch. I enjoy the Fetal Pigs, but they seem to work better as peripheral characters. No doubt they will eventually reappear in TIM. You can still be friends with a real live cartoon character via Giblit's myspace page.

Cyclotoon was a monthly bicycling cartoon I did for several years. This gallery shows some highlights. All color images are available on t-shirts - click here to shop.
