Hello all! I work at Challenger, Grey and Christmas in Chicago, Illinois as their in-house writer where I produce resumes, analysis, proposals and press releases for the company and its clients. That’s to pay the bills – my true passion is writing creatively. During my breaks at work, I focus on my creative endeavors. I’m currently working on two novels, All the World in a Rage and Murmurs From the Dying Sun. I’ve completed one novel Alex and Dom (which has been sent to literary agents) as well as wrote short stories for magazines, including Pandora’s Gate based in St. Louis.

Below is some information about my comic book projects:

The Elevator
Details:
Pencils/Inks by djinn-world
Colors by yamiza
An on-going series.

About:
On her way home from work on a cold, rainy Friday, Samantha takes pity on a hitchhiker and picks him up; she is haunted by the fact that her fiancé died from exposure under similar circumstances. The hitchhiker, Jason, is a quite unusual man, protecting a canvas bag that – as Samantha finds out when her curiosity gets the better of her – contains a potted flower. She readily passes this off as an eccentricity on Jason’s part until he gets mugged by similarly unusual people who steal only the flower, leaving Jason’s more valuable belongings alone. Jason, desperate to get the flower back quickly, enlists Samantha’s help and, through the use of a special medallion, takes her into a different world.

Jason’s and Samantha’s search for the people who stole the flower takes them across numerous worlds under the guardianship of the Regulation, an organization that monitors, protects and “regulates” the multitude of known alternate universes and different worlds, divulging the reader to the standards and essentials found in genres such as fantasy, sci-fi, detective noir, steampunk, Westerns, and gothic, all with “real world” elements.

Vertigo is currently reviewing Elevator. I need to send out my pitch packet to more companies though, but I am *really* happy that Vertigo is so interested in this comic!!

Animusians
Details:
Pencils by reapersun.
I am still looking for an inker and colorist for anyone who is interested. Look at my journal here for more info on that!!
An on-going series.

About:
Animusians focuses on two warring brothers who are struggling to overcome the effects of an experiment their parents – scientists in the field of teratology (study of human monsters) – performed on them. One brother, Wyatt, wants only to destroy all traces of the experiment, including murdering his parents and anyone connected to the project. The other brother, Makenzie, fights to stop him. When they learn that the project has continued, they must race to find all of the experiment subjects, the animusians, before the other brother does.

Status:
To be published by Arcana Comics upon completion.
