So,

There's this guy, he says to his teacher, "Teach, I wanna be a comic book writer," and the teacher says back, "No, man, (this is the Sixties, so teachers talked like that) comic books don't have writers." And the guy replies "No, they have words!" and the Teacher says "So?" and the guy says "Well if there's no writer than where do the words come from?" The teacher thinks a sec, then says "No, that's the letterer."

So I open with a lame joke. Sue me.

I have a little secret to admit. I was NOT a comic book nerd when I was young(er). Typical child of the Eighties, I was glued to the television. It was later, much later, that I first began my love affair. I've had other loves since then, movies, literature, art, but comics have always been faithfull to me, patiently awaiting my return. And that day has come.

And I am glad.
