If you want advice on Manga, please chat to me and my colleagues there! artwork background:I'm a professional illustrator specialising in the Anime/Manga style and comic artwork. My latest graphic novel is a manga adaptation of Romeo & Juliet published by Self Made Hero / Metromedia UK. My entry to Tokyopop’s first UK Rising Stars of Manga competition came 2nd place and features in the official anthology. Other competition achievements include Winner in NEO Magazine's 2005 Manga Competition and judging for the International Manga and Anime Festival (IMAF) which has a US$85,000 prize fund. My work appears in the British movie, Popcorn (2007). I'm a core member of Sweatdrop Studios the leading UK manga collaborative and independent publisher. My SD works include Murder on the Dancefloor (appearing in the first UK-produced manga anthology, Sugardrops), Once Upon a Time, Cyborg Butterfly and Return to Chenezzar (Pink is for Girls anthology). I work in a variety of mediums, including watercolour, pen & ink, screentone, alcohol colour markers, pencils and computer software. I have exhibited artwork in prestigious venues (London County Hall, London Cartoon Museum, Japanese Embassy), provided product demonstrations (on behalf of Copic, Letraset and Wacom) and regularly present workshops on manga creation. My artwork has featured in several manga-related publications (lead artist on "Draw Manga" by Sweatdrop Studios and featured in six other instructional books), events, websites (created official Catgirl mascot for Wacom Manga promotion) and magazines internationally (often found in NEO magazine).
