Hey Donna! Thanks for the add - I've been a huge fan of Desert Peach and Stinz for years, and recently realized you've written a number of prose novels and can't wait to get my hands on some! Keep us all up to date on what's coming up and when, as I'd love to get some reviews of your work up on the Broken Frontier website. You're easily one of the best in the biz, and hands down the most underappreciated and unknown (and holy hell it can be tough tracking down your comics - what's up with that?) Anyway, love your work, and wish you all the best ---Dave B.

Why thank you! And yes, the books are rare -- often due to very low print runs. We printed oodles of #1's, and they're still available, as are some #2's. Now I'm my own publisher, it's been a struggle. However, you'll find the new books up at www.lulu.com/desertpeach, at Amazon.com (search Donna Barr) and the older books at www.stinz.com. I've never advertised a lot -- word-of-mouth has always been my friend. I have a select readership: They don't herd -- I have to track them down and bag them one at a time. Recently, www.rummelhart.deviantart.com has started driving folks to the sales sites. And of course there's the web versions at http://www.moderntales.com/comics/desert
peach.php Unfortunately, I don't plan to print them in color because I'm using POD, and those technologies are too expensive for color. I have a tendency, once things begin to work for me in the field, to break down the next fence and take off into new and unprofitable territory (easily bored? Or my Rom blood?). Hm. "Broken Frontier" would be an appropriate website to talk about my work! I do have ways for reviewers to see some of the POD work without cost, so let me know. I'm working on the re-invented Desert Peach and Stinz in a big book that will be coming from Lulu this year. All new -- and utterly strange -- stories. Check out Moderntales.

Did you find some books you wanted to see over at my site? I can get you copies for review.

Hey! Thanks for checking in Donna - the sites all look great, and there is a LOT of content to sift through between them! I've been browsing, though generally haven't quite cleared my plate enough to truly devote my all to them. When I can, I'd ideally like to write a number of articles spotlighting your numerous titles, books, projects, etc. and what's available where amongst the sites and online shops. I've got one overlarge project to polish off before I can do this, though, and it's a few months away from finished, but when it is I'll be sure to inquire for an interview and put forth a proposal for a series of articles about you and your outlandishly extensive portfolio!
Books for review are always appreciated, and I can give you an email address or physical address depending on the format you'd like to deal with. The web strips I'll cover when I get around to fully exploring the websites, but until then, if you've got individual books/title you'd like to get some press on, let me know and I'd be more than happy to hop to it! --Dave B.

Hey Beth! Good to see you hanging around here! I gotta agree with your pick of your own articles - those you posted are some of your most well-considered, well-chosen topics! I even read them again by clicking on all the links and I honestly had no reason to - some truly intriguing stuff you've been pumping out lately.... --Dave B.

Hey Dave! Wow, rereading? That has to be about the ultimate compliment! Thanks so much. If I do anything any good at all, I owe my colleagues all my gratitude, that's for sure!

Hey, guys! I remember the original Virtex series from Oktomica - I loved it so much at the time, that I wrote my one and only ever fan letter and got it printed in issue #3 (the last issue to ever see print! Sniff!) I can't wait for more of the big 'V'! He'll always hold a special place in me heart! --Dave B.
