Some of my friends had Polyglot & Spleen. Much to my surprise this fine comic it didn't have a Wikipedia entry, so naturally I started one. Expand away!

You're welcome- just added your myspace! I do model for reference photos- what are you looking for? |
 |
[ Posted by Nojfotra on Dec 27th, 2006 2:57 AM ]...
I am looking for the photoreference for a magician character who is obviously female. as far as photos all I would need is simple A,E,I,O,U, facial expressions and body reference poses. The Idea I had for the character is very much fit by you though. so hopefully we can figure it out. |
 |
[ Posted by Nojfotra on Dec 27th, 2006 9:45 AM ]...
I did a quick marker drawing of you as my magician character from one of your photos. it is only a quick marker sketch done in like five minutes bute you'll get the idea. Its the last picture in my myspace pics. I can explain the dragon tat and large killer bunny. |
 |
[ Posted by Spleen on Dec 27th, 2006 2:10 PM ]...
Ha ha! very cool. If you gave me a list of what poses and expressions you'd need, I could do it (granted, they wouldn't be professional photos- just my camera). All I'd ask is that you email me one of the character drawings to put up on my website, LadySpleen.com! |

If you're ever in Houston and attend an event where we have a booth, you can have all the bat cookies you want! I always make a few dozen to set out with the books. |

[ Posted by SWAT on Dec 23rd, 2006 11:34 AM ]...
It's a deal. I may visit Houston for your cookies and to hang out with another cool creator. Love your work. Keep me posted. In case we don't talk again before Monday, have a wickedly good holiday. |

Hey Spleen, ever go to Midnight Comics? Which conventions should we look for you at? 3 Replies [ Latest posted on December 22nd, 2006 4:42 PM ]

[ Posted by Spleen on Dec 22nd, 2006 3:26 PM ]...
Haven't scheduled any comic conventions yet - but I'm vending at Convergence 13 in Portland - an annual Goth/Industrial convention.
I haven't been to Midnight Comics. I'm in the process of visiting all the comic shops in our area and (thanks to many factors) haven't gotten very far! |
 |
[ Posted by trey on Dec 22nd, 2006 4:23 PM ]...
Portland OR I assume. I spent 2 years in Seattle and miss it a lot.
Check out Midnight when you get the chance. 13711 Westheimer It's an old school LCS. |

Thanks for the add. I've always felt the spleen is the most underrated of underrated organs.
Not to mention the Coccyx is the most underrated bone. 4 Replies [ Latest posted on December 21st, 2006 7:22 PM ]

I've landed on my coccyx a few times... that's a bothersome spot for a bruise |
 |
[ Posted by ninjahousecatstudios on Dec 21st, 2006 7:17 PM ]...
Indeed it is! Particularly when it's a DEEP bruise.
But still. It's fun to say. Try it. "coccyx." See? Wasn't that fun. Now try Pancreas. Or Duodenum.
Really. When's the last time you hurt your Duodenum? |
 |
[ Posted by Spleen on Dec 21st, 2006 7:21 PM ]...
Duodenum... sounds like it belongs in a song. I wouldn't be surprised if I did come up with a duodenum ditty... I have a special relationship with my gastro-intestinal system. |
