Bulletin: NOTE CHANGE OF WEEKEND (Due to Mother's Day): Sunday, May 17th from 1 - 4 pm, there's a Squid Works meeting scheduled at Enchanted Grounds at 8800 S. Colorado Blvd. in Highlands Ranch. 303-470-1010.

The major item for the agenda this month is Comic-Con! Well, it turns out we're official. We've gotten our table in the Small Press Pavillion, table K-14 again. If you're interested in sharing table space with us, I need to know asap and for you to fulfill the following requirements. 1) You must let me know of your interest no later than Sunday, May 17th (I know it's short notice, but I need to be able to publicize you, and they require documents back to them shortly after); 2) Once we've gotten a head count, I'll let participating members know how much their split of the $350 table is, and you must pay me by mail or via PayPal no later than June 1st; 3) You MUST apply for a Professional attendee badge (the table only comes with 2 badges, so to get everyone else in, we need you to appy for this (it's free), but do it soon. Full weekend badges sold out months ago, so this is the only way you'll be able to get in for the full weekend. If you haven't gotten a badge, it might be too late -- May 5th was the cut-off, but keep trying.) The link is: http://comic-con.org/cci/cci_pros.shtml; 4) Also, in the spirit of fairness, this is a 6' table with only about 2 or 2 1/2' of depth, so understand you should bring a LIMITED selection of whatever you decide to bring. Under-table space is also limited, so don't plan to bring 1000 copies of your latest graphic novel or t-shirt -- be realistic. I can talk to you more about logistics once we get all of this squared away.

The catalog for this month is pretty much set, although there's still time for some of you, (OZZY and NOAH) to get me your catalog submission forms so your publications can be added to our quarterly update, which will be going out shortly aftere the upcoming meeting. Right now, our only new publication is 24 Hour Comics People 2: Dead by Dawn, which is now in print and available for purchase. We also received a slew of news, interviews, and reviews. Ethan Wenberg also released a new Mr. Flingpoo flash video game to add to our online offerings! Let me know if I'm missing anything or if you would like to add your offering to this update (or the next... it's never too early to get a jump on the next update).

Finally, STEERING COMMITTEE members. Well, mostly Al and me, but if others of you would like to sit in on the technological fun, that'd be fine. Al, I need to sit down with you with our Google Apps and talk about what I would like to do and where we need to go from here. That part of the meeting will begin at noon and go for an hour.

Finally, please keep an eye on the forums, as many job offerings, calls for submissions, and other time-sensitive info is listed there. One thing I'd like to just mention is that the Colorado Alliance of Illustrators annual show is still taking submissions for the May 15th opening, but you must get your work and registration in by the 11th. You can register here.

That's it. If you have anything you'd like to add to the agenda, please bring it to the meeting!

Stan Yan
