Squid Works Meeting Reminder

Bulletin:

Sunday, July 12th from 1 - 4 pm, there's a Squid Works meeting
scheduled at Enchanted Grounds at 8800 S. Colorado Blvd. in Highlands
Ranch.

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

1) Cheesecake pinups! We're looking for pin-ups for a cheesecake
pinup book featuring cheesecake recipes in time for NDK. You can see

2) It looks like our final roster for the Squid Works table in San
Diego is final: Stan Yan, Josh Mills, Zak Hennessey, Mike Hance, and
Alex Lopez. If you are one of these exhibitors, you are entitled to 1
vertical banner slot (14" wide by 32" tall) OR alternately table edge
space, and enough table space for only a limited variety of your work.
I will attempt to maximize table space with two foam-core waterfall
racks, but they won't carry a lot of weight. There will be some
under-table space on either side to store additional copies of your
work. Please be realistic about what you can sell and plan for what
you hope to accomplish at and away from the table. We can talk more
at the meeting if you can make it. We'll do a little SD pow-wow of
our group, exchange phone numbers, etc.

3) Squids I owe money to are John Peters and Will Barnes. Will,
sorry I didn't get a chance to talk to you more at CowTown, but I
wanted to talk to you about dues, uncashed checks and the like. If
you can't make the meeting, send me an e-mail.

4) 24 Hour Comics People 2: Dead by Dawn ROYALTIES!!!. Yes, you
heard right! If you're a contributor, I'll pay you your royalties at
the meeting. If you can't make the meeting, I'll mail you a check.
Let me know if you'd rather apply your royalty payment towards the
purchase of additional books. For those of you who contributed to 24
Hour Comics People #1, we're still waiting for Wowio to pay us for
our 1st quarter to get us above $10 per contributor, at which time I
was going to payout. We should probably discuss whether or not we
want to offer 24HCP2 for download or not, and if we do, via what
service. We also should probably discuss whether or not to terminate
our contract with Wowio on the first book so we can reoffer it via
another service.

5) Steering Committee meeting at NOON is on! I need to speak with Al
and Zack mainly about Outlook Express-related items and ideas
pertaining to the site redesign that has been 2 years in process so
far. Other SC members should feel free to attend and discuss.

agenda, bring it!
