Stan_Yan
Stan Yan grew up in Denver, Colorado and went to school at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he got his bachelor’s degree in accounting. Due to the lack of sex-for-recruiting for accounting students, Yan’s life took the tragic turn into sales for the securities industry, where he wallowed in ethical poverty on-and-off for thirteen years. Yan takes his frustrations out by penning graphic novels such as The Wang. In 2005, Yan has gave up on financial security and become a full-time freelance cartoonist, illustrating SubCulture for Ape Entertaiment, creating comic strips for the financial and sales industry, and picking up odd illustration and teaching jobs when folks are feeling agonizing pity for him. Do your conscience a favor and hire him. You can find him at squidworks.com/Stan

Stan Yan has a great eye for setting up a panel and laying out a page. Each page has a minimum of four different perspectives, yet is easy to follow. His figures are visually entertaining, and all of his characters are easy to to identify." ~Garbonzo, Stumptown Trade Review 2/1/09 Read the complete reviews and news at www.squidworks.com/reviews.html Upcoming Events Squid Works Presents comic art show at FU Gallery- Join Squid Works artists and local comic artists, Lonnie Allen, Karl Christian Krumpholz, Ozzy Longoria, Paul Niemiec, John Peters, John Porcellino, Stan Yan for the First Friday Art Walk opening of the FU Gallery's comic exhibit at 810 W. 8th Ave., #103, Denver, CO 80204 from 6 - 9 pm.
