Happy New Year from all of us at STAPLE! The
Independent Media Expo to all of you! We’ve got lots
of great new stuff lined up for 2007 so be sure and
check us out on March 3, 2007 at the Red Oak Ballroom

NEW CONTENT!!!

Just posted to the Articles section of the STAPLE!
website is an exclusive interview with Alex Cahill.
Alex was part of our panel of Xeric Grant winners in
2006 and is returning all the way from Portland this
year to debut his new graphic novel Poison the Cure.
Randy Lander of Comic Pants asks Alex questions about
his new work and inspirations. You can see it only at

ANIMATION!!!

We’re also happy to announce that the ’07 Expo will
feature our very first Independent Animation Panel!
STAPLE! is partnering with the fine folks of The
Animation Show to bring you a presentation of animated
short films and discussion with the folks that created
them. Check out The Animation Show at

EXHIBITORS!!!

STAPLE! 2007 will feature over 60 exhibitors of
independent comics, zines and graphic arts from Texas
and across the nation! This is the largest number
we’ve had so far and we couldn’t be more excited. The

STAPLE! The Independent Media Expo is Texas’ first and
only convention for independently produced comics,
zines and graphic arts. Our third annual Expo will be
held Saturday, March 3, 2007, from 10am-6pm, at the
Red Oak Ballroom in Austin, Texas. Admission is only
$5 at the door! See you there!
