On Saturday, May 19, 2007, at the East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention ( ECBACC), I moderated my first convention panel, "Having Our Say: Black Women Discuss Imagery". I must extend my deepest gratitude to Mikhaela Reid for providing a very thorough review of what was discussed during the panel. For those attendees who viewed the opening montage, here's the list of included images: AKASHA - Queen of the Damned ALICIA - Fantastic Four GAIL - Sin City KAREN - Blade KEE - Children of Men MACE - Strange Days NIOBE - Matrix III SITHANDRA - Aeon Flux STORM - X-Men & X-Men II UHURA - Star Trek II VANESSA - Blade WANDA - Spawn ZEE - Matrix III ZOE - Serenity On Saturday, May 17, 2008, I moderated my second ECBACC panel, "Having Our Say: Black Women Discuss Love & Humor". The opening montage included still images from comics depicting various types of love. On Saturday, May 16, 2009, I moderated my third ECBACC panel, "Having Our Say: Black Women Discuss Youth & Beauty". The opening montage included still images from comics depicting various young characters of color.
