| Bulletin: | I've NO idea WHY, but Dragon*Con has given me the snub as far as guest status for this year's event. REPEATED calls and emails have either went unanswered or I'd receive a perfunctory, soulless "Idon'tknowwhyyouhaven'tbeenselectedI'llexpediteyourrequesttothepowers thatbe" prepared speech. A shame after seven appearances from 2001-2007. Rather than be disappointed, I'm thankful because it saves me a grand in hotel room and meals. INSTEAD.....a couple of libraries in Jenkins and Screven counties have invited me for a public speaking gig. Friday, the Steve Addlesee 2008 Public Speaking and Book Signing Tour will begin and end the same day, but I believe it'll be more rewarding (since I WON'T have to shell out a grand). |
