Hello! I'm Steve Ekstrom, I'm a 32 year old writer from Georgia and I'm a freelance writer for Newsarama.com. I also occasionally share my opinions on Pop Culture and Counter Culture at Shotgun Reviews. Currently, I'm working to create a body of work to pursue a career as a writer in the comic book industry.

My work to date:

BREAKFAST - 8 page horror story; it was originally published by 803 Studios in MARCH 2008 in their second anthology SEQUENTIAL SUICIDE: SLOP; Breakfast was printed a second time in JULY 2008 in NEGATIVE BURN #20 from Desperado Publishing. This was my first published work as well as the artist on the project, DOUGLAS DRAPER. Currently, BREAKFAST is being colored for a possible third printing by colorist JESSE TURNBULL.

THROUGH LEAVES, OVER BRIDGES - 8 page autobiographical story; Publisher: TBA with artwork provided by AARON PITTMAN.

HAUNTED - 12 page suspense story; Publisher: TBA with artwork provided by DOUGLAS DRAPER

THE MANTLE - Publisher: TBA with artwork provided by MIKAEL BERGKVIST. THE MANTLE is my first endeavor with creator-owned projects.

APNEA - Publisher: 803 Studios in early 2009 with artwork by AARON PITTMAN.
