Hola! I'm Steve and it is nice to meet you.

Okay, okay, I realise that I'm not really "meeting" you. So, um, it's nice of you to read this text I took a few seconds to write. Huzzah!

Let's see... I fancy myself to be a bit of a writer. At some point in the recent past I sorta fell into the rather interesting world of "comics journalism". This means I write reviews, conduct interviews and indulge in all sorts of other yammer-fests. I hope to one day write comics or something along those lines. I mean, I really hope so... I don't think I have the attention span right now for writing a freaking novel.
(Actually, I'm on the look-out for an artist...)

Somehow, the lovely people at SilverBulletComicBooks.com took pity on me, allowing me to write for them. I think they're crazy, but I'm not one to question their sanity in this regard. As of 31 December, I became the New Doctor, i.e. the guy doing All The Rage (a weekly rumours/upcoming/etc column).

Hey, don't ask me! They just said "Here".

I also have a column over at Manga Life called Manga Hunter S, which was supposed to cover my exploration of Asian comics, but it looks like it will become something much more. Stay tuned.

I also co-run a site called MediaGauntlet with the acerbically talented Ryan Speck. There you can find movie, gaming and comics reviews as well as audiocasts from yours truly.

I managed to convince a beautiful woman to marry me and now we have two very handsome offspring-units. A cocker spaniel named Lizzy also lives here with us in Seattle.

Along with comic books, I enjoy videogames, role-playing games and tabletop wargames.
