Dear Comic Space Community:

I posted a bulletin about 2 months ago detailing my god-awful experience in hiring and working with James Watson and Atlantis Studios. In response, James Watson sent me a private (and insulting) e-mail asking me to remove the bulletin and give him a chance to make right the many, many things he's done wrong.

Here's his e-mail to me, dated Saturday, March 3, 2007.

While I'm making a good faith effort to pay our obligations under very trying circumstances, your recent emotional posting on Comic Space is not helping me get the job done.

You're welcome to explain that Atlantis will no longer be producing the Stormbringers project, that we have not performed up to expectation, or that we poorly managed the project as a whole.

However, if the posting remains as written, I may soon be unable to complete other profitable projects which will allow me to fulfill the obligations we discussed on Friday.

What can you do to help me out?

Well, I gave James Watson and Atlantis Studios the entire month of March and all of April to make things right...and his time is up, and he has only corrected one of the many, many ills he's caused.

The one thing James Watson and Atlantis Studios did accomplish was sending the $3,100 back pay to a colorist, James Watson and Atlantis Studios owed her for coloring a property of mine. James Watson and Atlantis Studios was over 5 months late paying this artist!

Mind you, I have paid James Watson and Atlantis Studios in advance and in full for all of their artist's services! However, James Waston lied (and I am not exaggerating) to me about having paid his artists and told me they were indeed paid and taken care of.

James Watson and Atlantis Studios only paid her, I believe, because of the bulletin I posted here on comicspace and other comic book online communities.

If you or anyone else is doing or contemplating doing business with James Watson and Atlantis Studios...I implore you not to!!! James Watson and Atlantis Studios have stolen my money ($5,000 of it) and I don't want it to happen to you.
