Header: Kirinko!
Bulletin: The biggest pain starting on this was just finding Mikes story. I found it in a stack of papers next to the drawing table. Between some ten year old sketches and 4 year old D&D character sheets! How did it wind up there? I have no clue.

My plan is to do a panel a night and do some hard core stuff over the weekends. Should be able to get it done. Panel 2 is designed and I drew an inset for it in Flash just to see how well it worked. My Wacom at home is a turd to work with. It's too big but I found out why I had so much trouble with it. I was using it on my lap angled upward like a drawing board. It was that angling that was throwing stuff off. Once i set it flat it worked much better. had to tweak the brushes a bit to get the desired effect. Getting closer.

The big blank area in the upper left is for set up text or a Mini-Title or originally I just had a super close up of Kirinko's eyes but that was a little goofy I though.

Debating on His sister. Drew a terrible version of her, then did a new one I liked. Then went back to the first bad drawing and drew over it a bit and ended up making her look sickly and almost zombie-ish. Then I thought, well maybe that would work, a visual reason for him to be out taking risks vs mercs.

I also thought I might work well, that when he is in the outpost, which I drew to look more like a bunker, that the Merc ends up finding him and Feena the sister, kills him with a sniper rifle. I don't know. Just an idea to put a little more action/desperation into the scene.

Anyways. I should have a more refined version of Panel 1 and a rough of Panel 2 up!

I think the hardest part is going to have Kirinko running down to the outpost/bunker. Going to re-watch the chase scene in Ong-Bak for some inspiration for dynamic shots.

Keep your eyes Peeled!
