Hi Stuart,

It was great meeting you at last years Paradise Con. I hope that you'll be going to this year's con as well so that I can pick up Centifolia. Totally slip my mind to pick it up when Eric Kim and I did a signing on FCBD at Big B Comics. Great shop in the Hamilton area.

Hi Howard,
Sad to say that I won't be able to attend the Paradise show this year, due to prior commitments. Surprisingly, it looks like I'll be at the Hobbystar show in August.

I love the Big B shop! Good for you re: the signing.

Not this time... but there will be other editions (with more pages). I'll keep everyone updated.

Hey Stuart. How's it going? A friend of mind borrowed me his Secret Identity trade and it's great GREAT stuff! Any chance you can tell me how you went about using that style and what you did there cos I'd like to give that technique a try?
I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks for the praise.

There's not much to tell regarding the approach. The pages were drawn with a black pencil crayon, then scanned (grayscale) and coloured in Photoshop. I did my own flatting for this project, as the pencilwork was pretty open (read: indistinct). Maybe one day, I'll find the time to do a real how-to on my blog.

thanks again for your interest.

Thanks for the tip. Will give it a shot and see how I can spin it. I appreciate it and keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing your take on Spiderman.

Cheers

Thank you very much for adding, I read your works in Italy, really nice stuff! see you soon! g

your drawings are so elegant! all the online work,
I read it in one sitting and never wanted it to end.
your prose is good too. and your use of the onomatopoeia
(that is so characteristic to comic books and
whose potential is often overlooked) is very clever.
the Truth and Beauty Bombs forum called your work
"pure class" and I agree A+

Stuart- keep bugging Warren Ellis for more Nextwave until he finally submits! We need MORE!!! In the meantime, I'll continue to enjoy your artwork, as well as your Bulletin Comics. Any time you have a Hulk doodle you want to give to someone, I'm your man! Thanks for adding me!

LOVE THIS! :D

Bulletin Comics #2 made me laugh. It's one of those "every artist" things.

Heya, it's nice to have the oppurtunity to say thank you for the countless times I've cracked open any of your comics for inspiration. Thanks, Stuart.

I loved your Shockrockets and Nextwave work, can't wait to see your Ultimate Spider-Man collaboration with Brian Bendis. I hope to see more Nextwave mini's in the future so I've got my fingers crossed.

Anyway, big fan of your work so thanks for the add Stuart. Take it easy.

thanks Joe. I'm not sure there's any point anymore, now that we can include images in the bulletins... but I appreciate the comment.

Stuart, though you hear it all the time, I would like to say that I'm also a fan of your work. I've even tried to incorporate some of the things you put into your Superman work (in particular) into my own style whenever I work on that character (or subsequent ones from that title).

As a side note, I spoke to your Mrs one day on AOL (I mistakenly thought it was your AIM name)... she was very cordial, just a nice person.

So thanks much from a fan! The two of you seem to be a class act!

thanks for the kind words and I have no idea who you were talking to but it wasn't my wife. that's quite odd. she is a nice person though.

i love the way you explore different facets of your individual style! from "secret identity" to "nextwave" to "never as bad as you think". your talent is SICK to the point where i'm a little jealous but more so inspired. thank you for that and thanks for the add. cheers.

jason.
