3 Boys Productions is the publisher of the critically acclaimed horror adventure comic Students of the Unusual The stories feature a recurring set of characters particularly the heroic homeless storyteller Uncle Pat and his drunken friend Irish. Three young boys investigate strange happenings under the tutelage of their homeless friend. A mystical tattoo artist, a sinister Haitian bokor, a zombie biker, Kennedy the magician, a sentient skin cancer, and portents of developing evil infuse most of the stories. Recalcitrant Jones is a young boy who sells his soul to the devil to get the greatest rock band of all time. The Devil gives him Elvis, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, Keith Moon, and Lawrence Welk. Everything's great until the undead band begins to rot into zombies. Students of the Unusual has had numerous bouts of good luck being featured on the IFC's "Comic-Con Chronicles" documentary in 2005 and 2006 and having their cover art by Jorge Alderete showcased in Taschen's "Illustration Now" featuring the top commercial illustrators in the world. Recently independent filmmakers transferred SOTU stories to the big screen and a collection of these films were featured on a DVD included in the recent giant-sized Students of the Unusual special issue. 3 Boys Productions has also published a collection of rock and roll adventure stories featuring "Recalcitrant Jones & the Dead Beats" illustrated by J Chris Campbell and the recent Halloween hit "Wide Awake 666"(Done in conjunction with Wide Awake Press http://www.wideawakepress.com)   Come and join the fun at http://www.studentsoftheunusual.comOr visit our MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/studentsoftheunusual
