Header: Students of the Unusual offers comic makers the chance to win $500.
Bulletin: 3 Boys Productions who publishes the award-winning horror adventure series, Students of the Unusual, seems to like contests. In their Extra Credit Special, they expanded the multimedia world of comics by first having a filmmaking contest and then including a DVD of the winners in their comic. Publisher Terry Cronin referred to it as "a film festival within your comic'.
Then they sponsored an on-line music contest and will include the winning recording artists in an inserted CD in the appropriately named Music Special which is being solicited in this February's Previews.
Now they have come up with a contest to include as many up and coming comic book talents as they can.
They are inviting artists or writer/artists or writer and artist teams to come up with their own 4 to 5 page story based in the world of Students of the Unusual. Applicants are invited to use any character in the

"Unus-iverse" and to make the story their own.

Each submission must include the script and the art must be at least inked.

Publisher Cronin states enthusiastically that "this is not to discourage any budding colorists, painters, and letterers. It is only the minimum."

Deadline for the contest is July 4th, 2008 --Independence Day (A nice day for independent comics and all Americans!)

The story selected to win will be published in the nest issue of Students of the Unusual and will win $500
