 My actual name is Josh Lesnick, and I have been drawing since I was seven. I have been drawing well since I was twenty-eight. I've a penchant for writing fun little character-based comics in a cartoony art style. Girly is my best-known one. The comic was originally a little romance about a couple girls, but it's since branched out into other things. Of all the comics I ever created, this is the one I've stuck with the most faithfully, as pretty soon it'll be four years old and will hit strip #500. I spend just about all my time on this comic; it's crazy! Girly is the sequel to Cutewendy, a crudely-drawn yet awesome series. Before Girly, there was Wendy. This was a humor comic about girls and whatever, which a strange attempt at developing a plotline in the last half. Then, I wrote an ending last year, which people have complained about as it wasn't "happy" per se. But it's the only way it could have ended, honest. I've attempted to start a second comic series called The Puppy Club, which is -- as the title suggests -- about puppies. But... It's amazing how hard it is to start a second comic when you're already doing okay with the first one! Right now it'll be an irregularly-updated thing. That sums up all my online comics worth mentioning. Before I got on the internet, I was interested primarily in cartoon art. My influences were Chuck Jones and John K., and various cartoon comic book artists, most of whom drew for the Archie TMNT series. In 1993, I rented Bubblegum Crash, my first anime. By the time I joined the Internet in 1996, I was deep into super anime love love. I was, without exaggeration, the kind of person you'd see at Gaia Online or some such website, and I included adorable little symbols like ^__^ in my sentences all the time. Naturally, it led me to try drawing in the style as well. It took me about nine or ten years, but I eventually got over it. It's not a time I'm particularly proud of, but I did inherit some nice things from the phase, including better anatomy skills, better layout skills, Lupin, and G Gundam. Now my main inspirations are people like John K. again. In fact, I freely admit that I love his ranty blog. I'm also inspired by many other great guys I met online like Bryan O' Malley, Kyle Carroza, Ian J., Matt Wilson, and ohhhh, there are so many cool people out there! Recently I have become a real entrepreneur who is now pubishing his own books. (available at Amazon!)My studio name, DBA, and publishing company is Studio Zoe, named after an old character of mine which I don't use anymore. I'm not crazy about that name, to be honest, but I've been using it for six years and it's on all the paperwork, so I'm stuck with it. By the way, I also run a porn site.Well, bye!
